Our horses are part of the familiy. We believe that horses that are well cared for, respected, and not overworked are happier. Our horses enjoy well-fitting tack, tons of attention and care, and an appropriate amount of work.

Dusty
Dusty is every little kid's come true. He is an 11.1 hand, flea bitten grey welsh/shetland gelding. Dusty has lots of personality and enjoys being the center of attention. He is shown by Rydervale students in the beginner walk/trot division. His weight limit is 80lbs.
Cricket
Cricket is a lovely 14 hand, chesnut connemara/TB mare. She is patient and kind with beginners, yet athletic enough to satisfy more advanced riders. She has a long stride, smooth gaits, and is quite the diva. She has taken many of our young riders to their first horse show. Cricket's weight limit is 130lbs.
Zander
Zander is a 16.2 hand, grullo quarter horse gelding. We are so fortunate to have such a kind and talented horse in our program. He is going to be a natural in the Hunter ring. Zander's wieght limit is 190lbs.
Anluan
Anluan is our newest addition. He is a 15 hand bay gelding. Smart and willing, he is already a favorite of our students. He has a lovely trot and a smooth canter. Anluan's weight limit is 175lbs.
Fagan
Fagan is the best old man ever. We are very grateful to the Teague familiy for allowing us to home their 16.3 hand bay warmblood gelding. He is patient, kind and well schooled. Fagan has a long show record and continues to compete. His weight limit is 200lbs.
Buddy
Buddy was rescued by the local community and Rydervale in June of 2009, after being removed from his owner due to neglect. Alone in a field without shelter, Buddy was all bones with and had a badly infected hoof - the result of an embedded nail. So many people have and continue to contribute to Buddy's welfare and thankfully his hoof made a full recovery. Buddy is now spending his retirement time enjoying care, love, and affection.
Vale
Vale is the muse behind Rydervale Stables. Vale was purchased by Michelle and her sister, Devra Karlebach, at the age of five for $488. She was bought to ensure she would not go to slaughter, after being neglected due to developing physical issues with her former owner. A vet examined her and concluded she had "chronic tye-up syndrome", but failed to find a physical reason for this muscular condition. It was said she would never be ridden, jumped or shown ever again. The plan was to find her a home as a broodmare. "Tack walking" was suggested to build her muscles up. Months of slow but continuous progress turned into actual riding with no reoccurence of her systems and the rehabilitation of the existing damage she had incurred. It was thought that jumping had caused the onset, but soon she tackled ground rails that led to crossrails that led to jumps - with no issues. Finally it was time to see if horse showing had been the stresser. Garden State horse show was the closest to home and her vet should problems arise. Miracles do happen, and every one deserves a second chance; Vale not only competed with no complications, but continued to go on to some of the largest, most competitive shows in the U.S. and Canada. From Palm Beach, Florida throughout the eastern Canadian circuit, Vale always exhibited honesty, willingness, and a love of competition. She is the horse of a lifetime and is the queen of Rydervale. Now 17 years old, she is still working and as sassy as ever.
